MLCCs provide superior reliability in automotive applications

The MCAS series capacitors from TAIYO YUDEN are suitable for use in body electronics and the chassis, and in infotainment systems.

TAIYO YUDEN supplies a range of multi-layer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) which are AEC-Q200 qualified for use in automotive applications. 

 

Featuring a monolithic structure, the MCAS series devices offer high reliability. Across the product series, TAIYO YUDEN offers a wide range of capacitance values in standard case sizes.  

 

The MCAS capacitors use nickel as the electrode material, and plating processing to improve solderability and heat resistance. The capacitors’ material design also prevents migration and improves reliability.

  • Temperature characteristic: X5R, X6S/X6T, X7R/X7S/X7T, C0H/CK, C0G/CG 
  • Operating-temperature range: -55°C to 85°C, -55°C to 105°C, -55°C to 125°C
