Wire-to-board card edge connectors provide for reliable terminations

The 9169-000 from KYOCERA AVX are one-piece connectors which offer a wide variety of specification options to the system designer. Rated for currents up to 3 A, the connectors feature superior termination technology.

KYOCERA AVX supplies the 9169-000 series of one-piece wire-to-board card edge connectors which offer high reliability and signal integrity.  

 

The 9169-000 connectors feature insulation displacement contact (IDC) technology for terminating the wires to the connector, and beryllium copper compression contacts for mating the connector to the board, resulting in a very reliable wire-to-board termination.  

 

Mechanical retention on the PCB is reinforced by latches on both sides of the connector. The connector is supplied in eight housing color options and two plating options of tin or gold on the contact area. Locating ribs aid polarization and mechanical keying.
