A groundbreaking industry first automotive solution
The Microchip TrustAnchor100 (TA100) CryptoAutomotive™ security IC is the solution for secure boot with its external Hardware Security Module (HSM), CAN message authentication, Electric Vehicle (EV) battery authentication, Transport Layer Security (TLS), Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) 1.3 Qi® authentication, High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) and more.
TA100 (Trust Anchor) Secure Element
Microchip’s TA100 provides a way for you to implement security into existing systems without requiring costly redesigns. A secure element from the Microchip CryptoAutomotive™ portfolio intended for automotive security applications, the TA100 provides support for code authentication (aka secure boot), message authentication via MAC generation, support for trusted firmware updates, multiple key management protocols including TLS and other root-of-trust based operations.
The Microchip TA100 integrates multiple asymmetric, symmetric, and hashing security protocols supporting an ultra-secure method for key agreement, sign-verify authentication for automotive in-vehicle networking applications. The TA100 secure element employs ultra-secure hardware-based cryptographic key storage and cryptographic countermeasures which eliminate potential backdoors linked to software weaknesses.
Companion Device
The device is agnostic of any microprocessor (MPU) or microcontroller (MCU) and compatible with Microchip AVR/ARM MCUs or MPUs. It is typically a companion device to an MCU or MPU on the same board.
Jumpstart your application development with Microchip’s TA100 8-pin SOIC and TA100 14-pin SOIC socket boards. MikroBUS™ compatible, these two socket boards can be used with the I2C and SPI versions of the TA100 device and can be easily plugged into one of Microchip’s many development boards that feature a microBUS socket.
