Dialight — 596 Prism SMT Indicator LEDs

Dialight has extended its Prism^® family of miniature surface-mount indicator LEDs with the Prism 596 series, the smallest right-angled surface-mount bi-level product in its class. The use of Prism products to replace traditional through-hole devices on a PCB improves manufacturers’ production efficiency, as the same pick-and-place equipment can be used to assemble the LEDs alongside other surface-mount components.

Measuring just 1.2 mm x 0.3 mm x 0.8 mm, the Prism 596 is ideal for designs which have limited board space. It is also suitable for systems which require edge-mounted indicators. Dialight also supplies the Prism 594, a single-emitter version of the right-angled indicator LED.

Dialight’s Prism products are the industry’s only surface-mount indicator LEDs which withstand a 260°C peak reflow temperature. The Prism family includes LEDs in a variety of package sizes in single-, bi- and tri-emitter configurations, and with a 1.6 mm, 2 mm or 3 mm lens.
