Description of ChangesThis Product Change Notification (PCN) is to inform you about a supplier base extension for the single wire seals of the mentioned part numbers, which are under the design responsibility of TE Connectivity. This PCN is informational only and no further actions are necessary from your side, as this extension does not have any impact to form, fit or function change. The material itself will remain Liquid Silicon Rubber (abbreviation: LSR or VMQ), as stated on the general TE customer drawing. The PN of seal in scope of this PCN is a general sales / catalogue part. Therefore, no contractual agreement related to sub-supplier selection is applicable. VDA 2 Trigger matrix use case 30 and PPAP towards Customer/s are not applicable too. TE Change process follows a strict procedure, which fully maintains quality and ability to supply. Internal release process is ensured by TE, including product validation.Reason for Changes:Customer Request. The supplier base extension is needed to protect our customers and TE Connectivity from material shortages risks and ensure deliveries. TE Connectivity continue using LSR material for the single wire seals. All materials used have been tested according to the relevant specifications and the product specific requirements are fulfilled.
General Product Description:Multiple part numbersDescription of ChangesTE is changing its system as it relates to minimum order quantities for the part numbers listed to address trends that have been recently observed. We have identified situations where quantities can be ordered at quantities below what our standard packaging requirements allow. The situation also results in non-standard handling (break-pack) and creates risks for damage during transit to our customers. Therefore, we are making changes to align minimum order quantities with appropriate standard packaging requirements for these part numbers.Reason for Changes:Product improvement.In addition to the above, please note that this change will become effective on the date listed in this notification for listed part numbers and minimum order quantities. TE will not be liable for any orders placed for shipments after this date that do not meet our new minimum order requirements or other related impacts, e.g., scorecard performance associated with over-shipment quantities. If there are any concerns with alignment in your systems to match new minimum order quantity requirements by the effective date listed, please reach out to your TE account manager as possible, and at a minimum, 10 working days prior to effective change date.
