HDP-22 Crimp Snap-In Contact Series represents the core of the Amplimite offer, providing a lower cost, commercial version of the military approved Series 90 family. This low cost, high performance, precision-formed crimp contact connector has shell sizes that offer a wide selection of contact positions – 15, 26, 44, 62 and 78. HDP-20 series of connectors use size 22 contacts, which are based on .030 inches [0.76 cm] pin diameters with contact centerlines of .090 x .078 inches [2.29 x 1.98 cm] for shell sizes of 1,2 and 3; .095 x .078 inches [2.41 x 1.98 cm] for shell sizes of 4; and .095 x .082 inches [2.41 x 2.08 cm] for shell size 5. The smaller pin diameter of the HDP-22 series allow roughly 65% more contacts to be held in a given shell size and therefore higher density than the HDP-20 series connector. Crimp snap-in contacts also allows loading of only the number of contact being used.
