HD-20 All-Plastic Straight Posted Series represents one of 3 versions of straight posted connectors available, the other two being full or front metal-shell. Presently offered in 9, 15, 25, 37 an 50 positions with shell sizes ranging from 1 through 5, the HD-20 Front Metal-Shell connector line also features flame retardant thermoplastic housing material as well as the option to have standard mounting holes or 4-40 threaded inserts or fixed female screwlocks. The HD-20 series of connectors are preloaded with size 20 DF posted contacts, which are based on .040 inches [1.02 cm] pin diameters with contact centerlines of .109 x .112 inches [2.77 x 2.85 cm]. This size is the most common variety.

5745072-2 is an Amplimite HD-20 Series Board Mount Plug with 15 (pin/male contact) positions housed in a size 2 all plastic straight shell body with fixed female screwlocks.

The 5745072-2 comes with preloaded 20 DF posted contacts.
