Designed specifically for advanced motor control applications, Infineon’s PSOC™ Control family of microcontrollers features a high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M33 core, integrating real-time control peripherals to enhance motor control performance across a range of applications such as HVAC, home appliances, robotics, power tools, industrial automation, and light electric vehicles.
With PSOC™ Control, designers gain access to innovative features that streamline development and optimize system efficiency. The integrated programmable analog sub-systems, such as a 12-bit, 12-Msps high-performance ADC and CORDIC Accelerator, allow for enhanced precision and computational efficiency. True synchronous “idle” sampling of up to 16 analog signals from a single-core ADC enables up to 25% faster results with reduced sampling jitter. The CORDIC Accelerator offloads CPU workload, increasing computational power for real-time, critical tasks like field-oriented motor control algorithms. Additionally, the programmable timer/counter pulse-width modulator (TCPWM) with a Motion Interface (MOTIF) block enables seamless communication of motor control signals. These advanced features help reduce system BOM costs while providing greater flexibility and improved performance for next-generation designs.
The PSOC™ Control family by Infineon will be available in Entry, Main, and Performance lines. The Entry line delivers the best value, while the Main line offers enhanced features and higher performance.
