Smallest package in 1200 V IPM class while still offering high power density and best performance

The high-performance CIPOS™ Maxi intelligent power modules (IPMs) integrate various power and control components to increase reliability, optimize PCB size and system costs. CIPOS™ Maxi IPMs are designed to control three-phase AC motors and permanent magnet motors in variable speed drives applications such as low-power industrial motor drives, pumps, fan drives and active filters for HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). The product concept is especially adapted to power applications, which need excellent thermal performance and electrical isolation as well as meeting EMI requirements and overload protection.

The IM818 series for IGBT-based portfolio offers 5 A and 10 A and 15 A in 1200 V class up to 3.0 kW power rating.

The IM828 series in the same package based on CoolSiC™ MOSFET technology is also available and offers over 4.8 kW power rating.

iMOTION™ IMC300 is a series of motor control ICs combining the feature set of the IMC100 series with an additional microcontroller for maximum application flexibility.

By incorporating the Motion Control Engine (MCE 2.0) the IMC300 series provides the same feature set as the IMC100 series in terms of motor control algorithm, power factor correction and protection features. In addition to the scripting engine integrated in the MCE 2.0 the IMC300 series comes with an additional microcontroller (MCU). While being connected to the control interface of the MCE, this MCU runs completely independent offering the customer maximum flexibility for adding functionality and controlling the MCE.
