The SM15T68A is a Unidirectional Transil Diodes designed to provide high overvoltage protection by clamping action. These devices are generally used against surges below 1500 W (10/1000 µs).
Its instantaneous response to transient overvoltage makes this device particularly suited to protect voltage sensitive devices such as MOS Technology and low voltage supplied IC's.
