The Monolithic Power Systems MP272x is a highly integrated, 2.5A/5A switch-mode battery management family for single-cell Li-ion or Li-polymer batteries.

NVDC Structure
The narrow voltage DC (NVDC) power management structure provides a low impedance power path that optimizes charging efficiency, reduces battery charging time, and extends battery life during discharging.

USB Type-C
The MP2722 Buck Charger by Monolithic Power Systems is fully compliant with USB Type-C 1.3 with dual-role power (DRP) functions, as well as Try.SNK and Try.SRC mode support. USB battery charging specification 1.2 (BC1.2) and non-standard adapter detection are also supported by the input source type identification algorithm.

Interface
The I2C interface offers complete operating control, charging parameter configuration, and status/interrupt monitoring. The full group of battery-management devices supports a fully customizable JEITA profile with configurable temperature windows and actions.

Package
The MP272x Buck Charger portfolio is available in a QFN-22 (2.5mmx3.5mm) package.
