Description of ChangeGrayhill uses adhesive-backed polyester sheets to adhere metal dome switch contacts to printed circuit boards. These “dome retaining sheets” or DRSs have historically been purchased from outside suppliers having been steel-rule die or laser cut. Grayhill has acquired high-speed laser cutting capability to fabricate dome retaining sheets in-house to the same specifications as those purchased from outside suppliers. Reason for ChangeAdhesive backed DRSs have a limited shelf life. Grayhill upholds the shelf-life rating, disposing of DRSs once the shelf life expires. This leads to scrap and necessitates additional purchase orders to outside suppliers.
