I want to make you aware that on November 26th we announced the closure of TE Connectivity Data & Devices Shanghai East manufacturing facility with targeted completion by May 2020. This decision is the result of our ongoing footprint evaluation and the need to streamline operating efficiencies and align manufacturing resources. During this transition our commitment to you remains unchanged. The impacted operations currently taking place in Shanghai East manufacturing facility will be transferred to other Data & Devices manufacturing facilities in China. We are focused on meeting our commitments to scheduled shipments and mitigating any possible disruption to you.
Description of Changes:Qingdao plant is superseding the adhesive tape currently used by a new one with more adherence Quality. This action will provide bigger reliable in the current packaging of the products supplied by TE and listed in this document.Reason for Changes:Product improvement.Our tray packaging was not reliable enough to avoid scattered products or out of correct position, inside and outside of the tray. This was caused because the vibration and handling during the transportation and low adherence of the adhesive tape used to hold the tray. This adhesive tape was changed and improved and after some internal tests, we can warrant a better product delivered and a packaging improved.
