Product Description:AMPSEAL 14-Position Vertical and Right-Angle Header Counterbore AdditionGeneral Description of ChangesThe Industrial and Commercial Transportation business unit of TE Connectivity is making a change to the mounting hole geometry on all 14-position vertical and right-angle AMPSEAL headers for the part number(s) listed below. A counterbore will be added to each of the mounting holes. These PNs are TE proprietary designs, therefore considered catalog/general market products. This change was originally proposed in PCN E-20-017968 but was never implemented. This PCN serves as a reminder and continuation of PCN E-20-017968. No additional changes are being implemented. PPAP requests must be submitted within 14 days of PCN submission via ict-ppap-request@te.com or ePPAP system. Submission will not occur without request. If PPAP requested, disposition response is required within 14 days of submit date or it will be considered approved. PPAP requests in response to PCN E-20-017968 do not need to be resubmitted. Product drawing(s) are affected.Reason for Changes:Dear Customer, we hereby inform you of this change. The change is necessary to improve mounting capabilities. The change does not impact performance. IMPORTANT: The current and previous revisions of these parts can be used interchangeably in the eld. The change(s) are being phased in gradually and previous revision can remain stocked until use. Shipments of both con gurations may be mixed.First Ship Date of Changed Items (Changed Parts Only): 30-JUN-2025
Customer drawing PCB layout shows the header pin thru hole at DIA1.38+/-0.10 This hole size is too small for the header pin size and is changing to DIA1.75+/-0.10 Reason For Change: Document Clarification. The current PCB thru hole size is too small for the header pin diameter and is changing to add greater hole clearance. There is no change to the header pin size or the product in general, this is only an information change on the customer drawing
