General Description of ChangesIncreased insulation resistance by implementation of PA10T plastic material on Power Tube connection system. Reason for Changes:Evolving in a dynamic market supporting the adoption of electrified industrial and commercial vehicles, TE is constantly improving to support application needs. TE has identified an alternative plastic material PA10T, in the investigation on the impact of this material change satisfying results we found. A full delta-PV will be run from August to November 2024. This change will bring no functional impact to the product. Mating force improvement will also be included in this evolution.
General Description of ChangesThis Product Change Notification (PCN) is to inform about a traceability label addition to HVP HD headers to help with revision tracking. The change has no impact to form-fit-function. This change is temporary and will last around 6 to 12 months starting from March 2024.Reason for Changes:Due to design changes on HVP HD headers we want to help customers quality control with the addition of this label. There is no impact on product performances. The label indicate the part revision level and matches customer drawing revision.
General Description of Changes: Before : Pin rotation angle could be up to 14 with 8.5 Nm torque. After : Pin rotation angle will be max 5 with 8.5 Nm torque.Reason for Changes: Improve the pin retention torque for better fixation inside housing
Description of Changes: Dear valued customer, This change notification consists of overall improvements made to HVP-HD1000 and HVP-HD14000 series headers in order to improve long-term product robustness in corrosive environments. The surface treatment of the PowerTube header series will be changed from a nickel plating to passivation and the three lip seal (towards the aggregate) shore hardness increased. With this change TE will also be applying a lubricant to the inside of the mating interface to improve mate-ability with the plug as well. These changes have no negative impact on the overall product performance (e.g. electrical, mechanical, etc.), but rather serve as improvements to increase corrosion resistance. These changes have been validated and details of the validation can be provided at your request. -------As these changes bring noticeable improvements to the overall corrosion resistance, TE will be implementing these changes across all PNs starting in production after 11.03.2024. ------Customers may place orders for the current version of these headers until 23.12.2023. Orders place prior this date will be shipped out between 01.01.2024 and 29.02.2024. Orders received after this date will be shipped out after 11.03.2024 with the new changes implemented. There will be no opportunity to order the current header configuration (nickel plating with 45 SH seal) after 23.12.2023 as TE will start production of the improved parts and also clear inventory. ------No part numbers will be changed as a result. TE is handling this via a PN revision change and the changes can be also tracked per the production batch as well as the date code laser marked on every header. No stock return or replacement requests of currently held stock is necessary, nor is planned. ------Specific Changes: Header Surface Treatment: Nickel Plating -> Passivation Three Lip Seal: Shore Hardness increased from 45 -> 70 Plug interface: Lubricant added ------Applicable for all HVP-HD1000 & HVP-HD1400 series headers.Reason for Changes: Product upgrade to increase corrosion resistance over product lifetime in end customer applications.
