Kyocera AVX Components Corporation (?Kyocera AVX?) has temporarily suspended production and supply of the product numbers below until it can ensure that all cobalt oxide used in the production of this product complies with applicable economic sanctions which restrict the use of materials that originate in whole, or in part, from Cuba. Kyocera AVX has an alternate cobalt oxide source that is compliant with applicable economic sanctions. The fully compliant material has been used in similar varistor formulations for many years and is qualified to the AEC Q200 automotive standard.Although the fully compliant material and supplier have already been qualified, Kyocera AVX will be issuing Process change notifications (PCN) for the applicable products as it will be in a different dielectric formulation. The PCN process will be used to track customer approval of new materials for the automotive customers.Qualifications are underway. Initial internal assessment will be completed in June. Proposed interim qualification regime and final qualification details will be provided in the PCN documentation. Kyocera AVX quality group will work with you to define waiver requirements to release product, as qualification is proceeding, to minimize impact to your production lines.Commercial and waivered automotive products will be available in July. More detailed delivery schedules will be prepared in the upcoming weeks.
