Murata has partnered with Embedded Artists to design the 2LL M.2 module, a compact solution optimized for evaluation, integration, and ease of use.The module features Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax SISO HE20/MCS9), Bluetooth® 5.4 LE, and IEEE 802.15.4 connectivity, with SDIO 3.0 or USB 2.0 interfaces and the NXP IW610G chipset.Using an M.2 module offers multiple benefits for embedded designs: it provides a certified, modular, and flexible approach to adding wireless connectivity; access to maintained Linux and SDK drivers with Murata’s support; and compatibility with Embedded Artists’ Developer Kits for i.MX RT/8/9 platforms, including advanced debugging options. Designers can easily futureproof their products, replace modules as technology evolves, and avoid the need for RF expertise.
