What is it?
Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows you to power and communicate with a device using only a single cable.
For example, an IP Phone or and IP Camera using a PoE solution will be powered via the Ethernet cable. The same cable will also transmit/receive data.
The NCP1095-NCP1096 are PoE Powered Device (PD) Controllers, meaning they communicate with the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) as shown in the diagram below.
What problem does it solve?
Using PoE will save electrical wiring and installation cost.
