Description of Change: Qualification of Microchip Technology Gresham ? Fab 4 (GRTM) as a new fabrication location for selected HCS515, PIC12CE518, PIC12CE519, PIC12CE673, PIC12CE674, PIC16CE623, PIC16CE624, PIC16CE625 and PIC16F639 device families of 120k technology available in various packages.Reason:Reason for Change: To improve manufacturability and on time delivery performance by qualifying a new fabrication location (GRTM - FAB 4), which is a Microchip-owned facility that offers significant expansion potential to better meet future client demand.
Part Status:
Microchip provides solutions for the entire performance range of 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers. The 8-bit PIC® microcontroller solutions feature a powerful architecture, flexible memory technologies, comprehensive easy-to-use development tools, comprehensive application notes, complete technical documentation and post design-in support through a worldwide sales and distribution network. Microchip is committed to easy migration across product families, providing seamless program memory expansion, pin compatibility, and a unified development environment for all products.
The PIC12C671 and PIC12C672 8-bit one-time-programmable (OTP) microcontrollers provide intelligence, data acquisition and mixed-signal capability to new applications where this performance was not previously possible because of cost and space constraints. These 8-pin microcontrollers allow easy integration of first-time intelligent features into electromechanical designs and will compete directly with 4-bit microcontroller products while providing significantly enhanced performance. The advanced analog features include an on-chip analog-to-digital converter and four analog channels, which are ideally suited to measure environmental conditions, such as temperature, pressure, motion and voltage.
The PIC12C671 and PIC12C672 feature 1,024 words of program memory and 2,048 words of program memory, respectively, along with 128 bytes of user RAM. These devices offer six multiplexed I/O pins with on-chip clock oscillator (4 MHz), 35 single-word instructions, full-speed 1 μs instruction cycle at 4 MHz, eight-level deep hardware stack, 8-bit real time clock/counter with 8-bit programmable prescaler, watchdog timer, direct LED drive, low 2.5-5.5 operating voltage and <2 mA @ 5 volts, 4 MHz low power consumption. In-circuit serial programming of the OTP microcontroller offers a true, self-contained intelligent system on a chip.
This powerful (1µsecond instruction execution) yet easy-to-program (only 33 single word instructions) CMOS OTP-based 8-bit microcontroller packs Microchip’s powerful PIC® architecture into an 8-pin package and features EEPROM data memory. Easily adapted for automotive, industrial, appliances and consumer entry-level product applications.
PIC12CE518-04/P is part of the PIC12C Series family with a 8-Bit CMOS Microcontroller. It can sustain standard temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C and has 8 pin in PDIP package. This device is lead free.
