Sensirion SCD43 CO₂ Sensor
High-precision CO₂ sensing for indoor air quality and smart building applications
The Sensirion SCD43 sensor delivers exceptional CO₂ measurement accuracy with a specification of ±(30 ppm + 3% of measured value) and meets stringent building standards such as ANSI/ASHRAE 62.1-2022 Draft Addendum d, California Title 24, RESET® grade B, and WELL Building Standard™ (WELL v2). Its extended measurement range reaches up to 5,000 ppm, and it supports single-shot operation for flexible use.
Part of Sensirion’s second-generation SCD4x series of optical CO₂ sensors, the SCD43 leverages the photoacoustic NDIR sensing principle along with Sensirion’s PASens® and CMOSens® technology. This combination provides high accuracy in a compact form factor at an attractive cost. Surface-mount assembly simplifies integration while allowing freedom of design. On-chip signal compensation is performed via the integrated SHT4x humidity and temperature sensor, and tape-and-reel packaging supports high-volume production.
As a vital indicator of indoor air quality (IAQ), CO₂ levels impact cognitive performance and well-being. The SCD43 by Sensirion enables smart ventilation control to enhance energy efficiency and comfort, and its implementation in indoor air quality monitors and connected devices helps maintain healthy, low CO₂ concentrations in indoor environments.
