The AB series from NKK is a totally sealed miniature toggle switch for logic-level applications. The sealed body construction prevents contact contamination from flux, solvents and other contaminants. The AB series provides smoother, positive detent actuation, increased contact stability and unparalleled logic-level reliability.
The A series push-button switches are process compatible and incorporate NKK’s award winning STC (Sliding Twin Crossbar) mechanism. This contact design ensures unparalleled switching reliability and a smoother positive detent action. These devices also feature a totally sealed body construction, allowing them to withstand the automated soldering techniques standard in today’s manufacture and assembly of finished products.
Pushbuttons are offered in single and double pole momentary circuits and can be ordered with various plunger lengths. Caps are available in two different diameters, either .201”or .295” and come standard in black, red or white.
NKK’s A series of push-button switches are rated 0.4VA Maximum @ 28V AC/DC maximum. Their subminiature size saves space on PC boards. Engineers can specify from several different mounting options including straight PC in bracketed and unbracketed models, vertical and right angle mounts. All terminals are molded in and epoxy sealed and ultrasonically welded to lock out flux and other contaminants. Terminal spacing is .100” X .100” conforming to standard PC board grid spacing. Matching indicators with LED’s in red, green or amber can also be ordered. The breadth of this series allows design engineers the flexibility to configure to specifications depending upon the challenges faced.
