General Product Description:AMPSEAL 8P, 14P, 23P, & 35P HeadersDescription of ChangesThe Industrial and Commercial Transportation business unit of TE Connectivity is adding additional molding and plating capabilities at approved TE vendors in China. This will apply to the vertical and right angle 8P, 14P, 23P, and 35P AMPSEAL headers for the part number(s) listed below. This is necessary to increase production capacity and meet customer demand. The additional capabilities will not impact connector performance. IMPORTANT: No t, form or function change. Parts are identical to current production. Product drawing(s) are not a ected. These PNs are TE proprietary designs and are therefore considered catalog/general market products. PPAP and/or sample requests must be submitted within 14 days of PCN submission via ict-ppap-request@te.com or ePPAP system. Submission will not occur without request. If PPAP is requested, disposition response is required within 14 days of submit date or it will be considered approved. Shipments may be mixed.Reason for Changes:This change is necessary to increase production capacity and meet customer demand
Customer drawing PCB layout shows the header pin thru hole at DIA1.38+/-0.10 This hole size is too small for the header pin size and is changing to DIA1.75+/-0.10 Reason For Change: Document Clarification. The current PCB thru hole size is too small for the header pin diameter and is changing to add greater hole clearance. There is no change to the header pin size or the product in general, this is only an information change on the customer drawing

The 1-776228-1 is a AMPSEAL 23 Position Three Row 4.0 mm Right Angle Header.
The AMPSEAL connectors just got better. Known for their rugged reliability even under high-temperature automotive and industrial applications, they are now a snap to assemble. We have replaced the difficult-to-apply, labor-intensive gasket by bonding it to the header assembly. This product upgrade also eliminates purchasing and inventorying an extra part--the gasket. Or, if you prefer, we also offer the header with a separate gasket.
