General Product Description:Multiple Parts NumbersDescription of ChangesWe are validating a tool replacement for 2x4 GET Spacer (PN 5-1419161-6) and insource the production of this item from the outside vendor supplier to TE Empalme.Reason for Changes:Product improvement.The existing mold was already planned to be insourced from outside vendor to EMP (where the FG assembly is located). However, we identified an opportunity to replace the existing tool. A new 16-cavity replacement tool will be built and run at TE Empalme. This replacement tool will help mitigate supply chain risks for TE and our customers. The replacement is applicable only at the component level, with no change to the FG assembly. Following FG part number will add production location of TE Manufacturing Thailand for AP customers.Reason for Changes:Dear Customer, this is a notice about following FG part numbers will add production location of TE Manufacturing Thailand for all customers. A duplicated new mold and new assembly machine will be used to build the part. The addition will be executed via a strict procedure to assure no negative influence on quality, delivery, and form-fit-function of the concerned products. The new manufacturing site is under a certified quality system according to industry standards and an internal release based on product specification will be executed before any parts are delivered.
