Description of Change: This notice is to inform you that Unisem has officially announced the opening of its second state-of-the-art assembly and test facility, i.e. Unisem Gopeng (UGP) located in Gopeng, Perak.Unisem internal manufacturing transfer is necessary to align and optimize mass production in support of Unisem?s capacity expansion program. As of the date of this notice, Unisem?s internal manufacturing transfer as well as Renesas product and site-specific qualification activities at the UGP facility are complete. Renesas will begin using Unisem Gopeng (UGP) as an alternate site for assembly of the listed Renesas packaged products. Reason for Change: Internal manufacturing transfer is necessary to ensure continued product manufacturability in support of customer delivery requirements. Effective Date: 8/4/2026
Description of Change: This notification is to advise our customer that Renesas has qualified Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) as an alternative wafer fabrication location for selected products in the affected product list on the attached SPCN Document. There is no change to process technology, product data sheet and the orderable part number. There will be no change to part number, form, fit, function, reliability, and quality of the products. Reason for Change: The change is for increased manufacturing capacity and business continuity.Sample Availability Date: 6/30/2026
This revised notice is to add additional part numbers to this change.Description of Change:Renesas is adding Unisem, Malaysia as an alternate assembly location for VFQFPN packages. Unisem has been qualified by Renesas as an approved Assembly location.Refer to below table for the current and the alternate assembly locations and its material sets by package type.There will be changes in the material sets at the alternate assembly location.Reason for Change:The change is for increased manufacturing capability and business continuity.No change in the moisture sensitive level as a result of this change.
