The MC56F8257VLH is a member of the 56800E core-based family of digital signal controllers (DSCs). It combines, on a single chip, DSP processing power and microcontroller functionality with a flexible set of peripherals including an eFlexPWM module with NanoEdge placement as well as two ultra fast ADCs, creating a cost-effective solution

Because of its low cost, configuration flexibility, and compact program code, it is a perfect fit for power conversion and motor control applications, making it also well-suited for many other consumer and industrial applications
