The MOC205M is a Phototransistor Output Optocoupler, it consist of a gallium arsenide infrared emitting diode that is optically coupled to a monolithic silicon phototransistor detector in a surface mountable small outline plastic package.

This device is ideally suited for high density applications and eliminates the need for through-the-board mounting. It has an Operating Temperature range of -40° C to +100° C.
