Panasonic Industry General Power Relays, HE-A, HE-R, DW, LQ & LD-P Series

Versatile, compact, and high-performance relays for industrial, automotive, HVAC, and consumer electronics applications

Panasonic Industry provides a comprehensive portfolio of Power & Energy Solutions, featuring General Power Relays engineered for both low- and high-power applications. Offering switching capacities from 2A to 120A, these compact relays are designed for direct PCB mounting, ensuring seamless integration into diverse systems. Emphasizing durability and reliability, Panasonic Industry’s range includes automotive, miniature, signal, and high-power relays, serving industries such as industrial automation, home appliances, automotive systems, and consumer electronics.

General power relays are available with load ratings of 2A or greater in Polarized, Non-Polarized, High-Capacity DC, General Purpose, and Safety configurations. UL, CSA, C-UL, TUV, VDE, and SEMKO certifications.

Available series include HE-A, HE-R, DW, LQ (including High Inrush), and LD-P, each engineered for specific performance needs:

HE-A Series

Compact Size 1Form A / 1Form A 1 Form B 110A Power Relays, known for their energy-efficient performance made possible by low coil holding voltages and pulse width modulation (PWM) control. These relays are capable of high-carry current and offer an excellent alternative to traditional contactors, enabling a more compact design, lower system cost, and reduced power consumption, while allowing PCB mounting for simplified assembly.

HE-R Series

Compact Power Relays in multiple contact arrangements, these relays are tailored for energy management and EV charging applications, supporting both single-phase and three-phase AC systems. These relays support up to 80A switching current (depending on configuration) and include features such as mirror contact structures and auxiliary contacts for welding detection. Their low coil-holding voltage reduces energy consumption while maintaining compliance with key UL and IEC safety standards.

DW Series

Polarized power relays that feature up to 16A @ 277 VAC switching capacity in a compact size. A high-inrush type that offers up to 100A inrush capability with a 600W nominal operating power is also available. The DW Series offers 1 and 2-coil latching configurations.

LQ Series

Non-Polarized Power Relays feature small size, high switching capacity, and a contact rating at 105°C with Class F coil insulation. Approved by UL/C-UL for Class, these new parts are ideal for use in home appliances and HVAC applications. Panasonic LQ Series Relays can be mounted in any orientation. Additionally, this series now features Pin-in-Paste part numbers that combine reflow and wave soldering into a single streamlined process, effectively minimizing overall production costs compared with other Relays on the market today.

LQ Series (High Inrush)

The LQ Series Relays have expanded to include high inrush in both 12V DC and 24V DC Coil types, as well as tube and carton packaging styles, providing a variety of options. These new part numbers are also rated for 2000 VA, 10W max switching power, and are offered in class F insulation types, making them extremely competitive compared to alternative parts.

LD-P Series

Characterized by excellent heat resistance and tracking performance, LD-P Series relays offer Class F coil insulation and tube packaging as standard part numbers. They feature a compact size of 7.2 mm (W) X 20.5 mm (L) X 15.3 mm (H), enabling space and cost savings, and are rated for use in higher-ambient-temperature environments, which is ideal for industrial and HVAC applications.
