The Vishay WSBE Power Metal Strip® Shunt Resistors are engineered for high-precision current sensing in demanding applications such as automotive systems, industrial equipment, and energy infrastructure. These resistors offer exceptionally low resistance values down to 15 µΩ and ultra-low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) as low as ±10 ppm/°C, ensuring minimal resistance drift across a wide temperature range from -65 °C to +170 °C.
Patented TCR Mitigation Technology
Vishay’s WSBE series incorporates a patented TCR mitigation technology that significantly enhances temperature stability. This innovation combines a solid metal nickel-chrome alloy resistive element with a proprietary processing technique, achieving a TCR of less than ±10 ppm/°C across the full operating temperature range. This design eliminates the need for temperature compensation, simplifying calibration to a two-point process and reducing the complexity of compensation software. Consequently, system designs are streamlined, component counts are reduced, and overall reliability is improved.
