Features & Applications

Vishay a leader in TVS diodes has developed this surface mount Transorb transient voltage suppressor SMB  Bi directional series.

The SMB TVS series is used for sensitive electronics protection against voltage transients induced by inductive load switching and lighting on ICs, MOSFET, signal lines of sensor units lighting on ICs, MOSFET, signal lines of sensor units telecommunication.

The SMB series offers 600 W peak pulse power capability with a 10/1000 µs waveform, repetitive rate (duty cycle):0.01 %. The smb series meets MSL level 1, per J-STD-020C, LF max peak of 260 °C.
The SMBJ100CA is a 100 V stand-off voltage suppressor which comes in a low profile package DO-214AA which is ideal for automated placement.

The SMBJ100CA offers excelent clamping voltage, very fast response time and low incremental surge resistance.
