 MTA-100 are 2.54 [.100] centerline connectors 2-28 position, which accept discrete and ribbon cable wire sizes ranging from 22-28 AWG with maximum insulation diameter of 1.52 [.060] for discrete single wires and 1.27 [.050] for mass termination of ribbon cable.

The housings are available in 2 primary types closed end and feed through, each type is available with or without polarizing tabs. Each base number of the connector is based on type and wire gauge.

The IDC wire slot accepts tin plated solid, fused stranded, or stranded (7 strands) wire with PVC insulation for 22-28 AWG and stranded wire (19 strands) for 22-24 AWG

Only 1 wire can be terminated in each IDC contact slot. The connector housing is flame retardant thermoplastic, either UL94V-2 or UL94V-0 rated.

A full line of 2.54 [.100] centerline headers complete the line and are available in straight or right angle post, in flat, polarized-or friction lock styles. Unshrouded headers are available in 2-28 positions and shrouded headers are available in 2-14 positions.

Connectors and unshrouded headers are end to end stackable, connectors are available in closed end and feed through (daisy chain) configurations. Connector housings have locking ramps and are available with and without polarizing tabs, molded ribs prevent reverse mating.

Contacts are preloaded in the housings and are slotted for IDC termination, contacts are lubricated to prevent fretting corrosion.

Benefits derived from the MTA system include one step assembly, no wire stripping, no contact damage, reduced wiring errors, simple tooling and simple maintenance and repair. All connectors are UL and CSA approved.

3-644563-4 is a 4 position feed thru MTA-100 IDC Connector with polarizing tabs for 24 AWG wire. Connector is rated for UL94V-2 and the contacts are tin plated (RoHS compliant)
