DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE:Product update to change top cap from plastic to metal and eliminate the outer wrap tape. This product update is part of a scheduled running change on all VERSA-PAC® lines and does not affect the electrical function of the product or impact the mechanical dimensions. Customers are encouraged to continue using the current version while inventories last and confidently transition to the enhanced version when ordering new parts. There is inventory available of the existing design for most part numbers and customers can expect to see the described change at varying times depending on part number and region. See below Table A for a complete list of part numbers affected and the effective date of the manufacturing change as shown in Table B.REASON FOR CHANGE:Eaton’s VERSA-PAC® is currently undergoing a scheduled running change to this portion of the product line to align with similar materials used on other standard product lines.EXPECTED INFLUENCE ON QUALITY, RELIABILITY, AND PERFORMANCE:There will be no impact to the quality, reliability, or performance of the product. There is no change to the electrical performance or mechanical dimensions, however, there is noticeable visual difference between current version with plastic caps and updated version with metal caps (See images on Table B). Customers are encouraged to evaluate the visual differences and update any in-process documentation or inspections as necessary to accept this running change.
