Features & Applications

The MOC3051M device consist of AlGaAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a non-zero-crossing silicon bilateral AC switch (triac). This device isolates low voltage logic from 115 and 240 Vac lines to provide random phase control of high current triacs or thyristors.

This device features a greatly enhanced static dv/dt capability to ensure stable switching performance of inductive loads. It has an Operating Temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C.
