Infineon 6ED2230S12T 1200 V Three Phase Gate Driver
With Integrated Bootstrap Diode and Fast Over Current Protection (OCP)
The Infineon 6ED2230S12T is a 1200 V, 0.65 A three-phase gate driver featuring integrated bootstrap diode and over-current protection with 0.35 A source and 0.65 A sink currents in a DSO-24 package (DSO-28 with 4 pins removed).
The high-voltage, high-speed 6ED2230S12T IGBT includes three independent high side and low side referenced output channels for three phase applications. This Infineon gate driver’s proprietary HVIC and latch immune CMOS technologies enable ruggedized monolithic construction. The 6ED2230S12T’s logic input is compatible with standard CMOS or TTL outputs, down to 3.3 V logic, while an over‐current protection (OCP) function terminates all six outputs and can also be derived from this resistor.
The Infineon 6ED2230S12T also features an open drain FAULT signal to indicate that an over-current or undervoltage shutdown has occurred. Fault conditions are cleared automatically after a delay programmed externally via an RC network.
The floating channel of the 6ED2230S12T can be used to drive N-channel power MOSFETs or IGBTs in the high side configuration which operates up to 1200 V. Propagation delays are matched to simplify the HVIC’s use in high frequency applications.
