BR Shipment Delays Due to Cathode Supply IssueWe would like to inform you of a supply issue that may adversely affect orders of our BR battery products. This includes the BR coin cell, BR'A' high temperature coin cells, and the BR cylindrical cells. A complete list can be found in the attached SPCN document.Due to issues with our cathode supplier and increased global demand for our BR product, there has been a delay in shipments and confirming new orders. Panasonic is working with our suppliers to correct the situation and mitigate the risk in the future.The BR cells use a Poly-carbon monofluoride cathode material. It is used only for the BR lithium product. Our other lithium products (CR Series) do not use this cathode material and are not affected.We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding regarding this issue. Nature of Change: Material, Packaging, Location, and Part Numbers for cells.Description:1. These cells are manufactured in Japan, with the tab terminal application processing presently performed in China. The tab terminal application process for these cells will move from our China facility to our Japan facility. 2. With this tabbing location change, Panasonic will be utilizing new part numbers for the cells. 3. The tab terminal sourcing will change from a China source to a Japan source. 4. The tab terminal design will be slightly modified, with the remove of the recessed area. 5. The tabbed cell outer carton packaging sourcing will change from a China source to a Japan source. No change to the outer carton material.6. The tabbed cell packaging tray sourcing will change from a Chinasource to a Japan source.7. With this sourcing change, there will be some material changes to the packaging tray materials.8. The manufacturer for the Top Cap Assembly will change from a China source to a Japan source.9.
