Palladium(PdNi) with gold flash plating are emerging as sustainable alternatives to gold plating. These materials offer comparable electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, making them suitable for many applications. Additionally, they significantly have a lower environmental impact ,due to reducing CO2 footprint of plating. Coming up with this solution, we are glad to finally clarify the implementation of Pdni. We will replace gold plating with PdNi+Gold Flash on the exiting D3000 233 part numbers As an additional supplement. we also announce the cancellation of the previous PCN-24-215743. At the same time, There are a few part numbers as a Local for local strategy to produce in Japan to serve Japanese customers, we will carry out the implementation of PdNi in the second stage. To accomplish this, we describe the way of execution. TE will keep the existing part numbers with gold plating, will be accompanied by a significant price increase in October. New part numbers of PdNi plating will be released with the neutral price soon. For new part numbers, we will provide a separate list for parts selection. We strongly encourage you to join us in implementing sustainable philosophy. Considering the possibility of the cross mating between PdNi and Gold, TE will make additional cross mating test. The process is planned to use PdNi plated female part to mate with gold plated male part as test sample for durability mating cycle test per the condition in product specification.
