Approval timelines have shifted repeatedly and have now extended significantly, with no clear path or timeline to completion. This prolonged uncertainty has caused ongoing disruption to the market and our customers, and continuing under these conditions is detrimental to both. This decision is purely strategic and there has been no change to quality especially in terms of the fit, form, or function of DuraSeal products. General Product Description:DuraSeal Heat-Shrinkable, Environmentally Sealed, Nylon-Insulated Crimp Splices & TerminalsDescription of ChangesThis notice informs you that due to an enforced change by a vendor to a raw material, TE Connectivity is reformulating the adhesive used in the heat-shrink tubing used to make DuraSeal Crimp Splices & Terminals.Reason for Changes:Product improvement. TE Connectivity manufactures the adhesive contained in dual-wall tubing that is used in DuraSeal products from a compound material designed by TE Connectivity that uses raw materials sourced from external vendors. One of the adhesive raw materials has been discontinued and the adhesive will be reformulated. The adhesive reformulation will follow our defined change procedure to maintain safety, quality, compliance, and to maintain the same or improved form, fit, and function. There will be increased lead times on impacted products. TE is committed to resolving this as soon as possible. For assistance with alternative products, please contact our Product Management team. We understand this product reformulation and requalification may impact your operations, and we appreciate your understanding.
