The NJM78L12UA-TE2 is a 3 terminal positive voltage regulator with a typical output voltage of 12 V. Available in surface mount 3-pin SOT-89 package.

This device is constructed using the New JRC Planar epitaxial process and it employ internal current-limiting and thermal-shutdown, making them essentially indestructible. If adequate heat sinking is provided, they can deliver up to 100mA output current.
