Introduction of a firmware security update for OPTIGA? TPM SLB 9672 and SLB 9673 families Infineon has been contacted by the TCG-VRT (Trusted Computing Group ? Vulnerability Response Team) about a vulnerability in their official TCG reference implementation of the TPM 2.0 specification (case identifier ?VRT0009?). We are planning to offer a certified update for the OPTIGA? TPM SLB 9672 and 9673 firmware to address this TCG reference implementation vulnerability. Our policy is to reflect state-of-the-art in our security solutions. Therefore, the following updates will also be included: -TPM crypto library in the latest version and Improvement to the procedure ?TPM2_clear? Reason : For security reasons, Infineon strongly recommends updating the affected products with the latest firmware. The update is currently being submitted to re-certification and it is advised that all relevant customers update or migrate to this latest version. As per TCG decision, the details on VRT0009 are under public disclosure embargo and further details will be available at a later point in time.NOTE : see attached document for more details
