Microchip MCP1711 Ultra-Low IQ LDO Regulator

Simplify low-power power-management designs

The Microchip MCP1711 is a low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator designed for applications that require maximum power efficiency and extended battery life. Delivering up to 150 mA of output current while consuming as little as 0.6 µA typical quiescent current, the device helps engineers reduce overall system power consumption in portable and always-on applications.

The MCP1711 features capacitorless operation enabled by advanced internal compensation. Designers can eliminate external output capacitors in space-constrained applications or add low-ESR capacitors when improved transient performance is required. This flexibility reduces component count, simplifies PCB layouts, and can lower system costs.

With a wide input voltage range, multiple fixed output voltage options, integrated protection features, and compact package choices, the MCP1711 is well suited for energy-harvesting systems, wireless devices, portable electronics, and other low-power embedded designs.
