The ICL3232EIV-16Z is a RS-232 transmitter/receiver, available in 16 pin TSSOP package.

This device is a 3-driver, 5-receiver devices that provide a complete serial port suitable for laptop or notebook computers. Both devices also include non inverting always-active receivers for “wake-up” capability. It feature an automatic power-down function which powers down the on-chip power-supply and driver circuits.
