HD-20 Front Metal-Shell Straight Posted Series represents one of 3 versions of straight posted connectors available, the other two being full metal-shell or all-plastic. Presently offered in 9, 15, 25 and 37 positions with shell sizes ranging from 1 through 4, the HD-20 Front Metal-Shell connector line also features flame retardant thermoplastic housing material as well as the option to have standard mounting holes or 4-40 threaded inserts or 4-40 fixed female screwlocks. The HD-20 series of connectors are preloaded with size 20 DF posted contacts, which are based on .040 inches [1.02 cm] pin diameters with contact centerlines of .109 x .112 inches [2.77 x 2.85 cm]. This size is the most common variety.

5745967-8 is an Amplimite HD-20 Series Board Mount Receptacle with 25 (female contact) positions housed in a size 3 front metal tin plated shell body with 4-40 threaded inserts.
