Features & Applications

The L78M06CDT-TR is a three terminal positive voltage regulator with an output voltage of 6 V and an output current up to 500 mA, with internal current limiting, safe area protection and thermal shutdown features, available in surface mount  TO-252-3 package.

These devices are intended provide local on-card regulation, eliminating the distribution problems associated with single point regulation. When adequate heat sinking is provided these devices can deliver over 0.5 A output current and these devices can be used with external components to obtain adjustable voltage and currents.
