Nordic Semiconductor nRF54LM20A and nRF54LM20B Wireless SoCs

High-Memory, Ultra-Low-Power Wireless SoCs for Advanced IoT Applications

The Nordic Semiconductor nRF54LM20A and nRF54LM20B are ultra-low-power wireless SoCs designed for advanced connected products requiring increased memory, processing performance, extensive peripherals, and multiprotocol 2.4 GHz connectivity. Both devices feature a 128 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M33 processor, 2 MB NVM, 512 KB RAM, and a 128 MHz RISC-V coprocessor.

The nRF54LM20A and nRF54LM20B support Bluetooth® Low Energy, Bluetooth Channel Sounding, Bluetooth Mesh, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Aliro, and proprietary 2.4 GHz protocols. An extensive peripheral set, including high-speed USB, high-speed SPI/UART, and up to 66 GPIOs, enables the devices to address demanding consumer, smart home, commercial, and industrial applications.

The nRF54LM20B adds an integrated 128 MHz Axon Neural Processing Unit (NPU), enabling hardware-accelerated edge AI applications.

Supported by Nordic Semiconductor's nRF Connect SDK and comprehensive development tool ecosystem, the nRF54LM20 series provides developers with the software, tools, samples, and libraries needed to develop low-power, secure wireless IoT applications.

For evaluation and prototyping, the nRF54LM20-DK provides a versatile development platform for both the nRF54LM20A and nRF54LM20B.

nRF54LM20A
The nRF54LM20A is a high-memory, ultra-low-power wireless SoC for advanced Bluetooth LE, Matter, and multiprotocol applications. It combines a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor with 2 MB NVM, 512 KB RAM, a 128 MHz RISC-V coprocessor, high-speed USB, an extensive peripheral set, and up to 66 GPIOs.

Its ultra-low-power multiprotocol 2.4 GHz radio supports Bluetooth LE, Bluetooth Channel Sounding, Bluetooth Mesh, Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Aliro, and proprietary 2.4 GHz protocols, making it suitable for feature-rich connected products requiring high performance, extensive memory, and low power consumption.

nRF54LM20B
The nRF54LM20B builds on the capabilities of the nRF54LM20A with an integrated 128 MHz Axon NPU for hardware-accelerated edge AI applications. It combines on-device AI acceleration with the nRF54LM20 platform's advanced processing capabilities, extensive memory and peripherals, ultra-low-power operation, and multiprotocol 2.4 GHz connectivity.

Development with the nRF54LM20B and its integrated Axon NPU is supported by the Edge AI Add-on for the nRF Connect SDK.
