Description of Change:Grayhill has changed the supplier for the shaft seal used in the 60AR Joystick series and the component joystick in 3J Gen 1.0 and 2.0. The new seal also has a lower durometer for the elastomeric portion, moving from 70 shore A to 40 shore A. Reason for Change:A new source of supply was required. The durometer change was found to improve haptic response without affecting any form/fit/function characteristics and therefore included in the change. The lower durometer for the elastomeric portion of the seal provides an improved tactile response when the joystick is actuated. The new seal has been qualified via Grayhill LREQ-SP20-163 (see attached report).Testing included verification of joystick life, rotational life, and ingress to IPx7. Actuation force does not change from datasheets.
