Description of Change:There will be a revision to the epoxy seal applied at the base of terminals for JW Series Rockers, EB, FB, and SB Series Pushbuttons, SK Series Keylocks, and CS Series Slides. The new epoxy seal will be matte black in color, and the change will include both standard and custom switches.
Description and Reason for Change:There will be a revision to the epoxy seal applied at the base of terminals for JW Series Rockers, EB, FB, and SB Series Pushbuttons, SK Series Keylocks, and CS Series Slides. The new epoxy seal will be matte black in color, and the change will include both standard and custom switches. Changes for epoxy seal on JW, EB, FB, SB, SK and CS Series will be effective September 2025. However, the end of sales date may be subject to change if orders exceed expectations for the specified products.
1.) There will be a revision to the material of the rocker cap and the case/base for JW Series Rocker Switches, the JWM and JWL models only. The cap material, formerly polyphenylene ether (PPE), will be revised to polyamide. The case and base material of melamine resin will change to melamine phenol resin.This change will apply to all JWM and JWL standard and custom switches. Effected standard part numbers are listed on pages 3-7. 2. Sides of the switch housing for JWM and JWL models of the JW Series will reflect changes in identification, including an updated NKK Switches logo. The UL and CSA symbols will be replaced with the cULus logo; the UL standard will change from UL 1054 to UL 61058-1. As shown on the Before and After illustrations below, the arrangement of the ratings and certifications will be different on the case. These revisions will apply to JWM and JWL standard and custom JW Series switches. Effectedstandard part numbers are the same as for Change 1, listed on pages 3-7.
