In order to support our fast-growing demand and secure continuity of supply for our customers, the TVS STD products listed will now be built on 6-inch wafers in addition to 5-inch wafers. Effective 1 Oct 2022, Littelfuse will be adding a new epoxy molding compound (EMC) for our DO-214AB package including SMCJ, 1.5SMC, SMDJ, 3.0SMC/J, 4.0SMDJ, and 5.0SMDJ/S Series (the Affected Series). This urgent addition is necessary due to circumstances beyond Littelfuse, as the current supplier recently obsoleted the EMC used by the Affected Series with a last time buy of Sep 2022.
TVS STD DO-214AB(SMC) package additional Epoxy Molding Compound and Assembly/Test location approval Effective 1 Oct 2022, Littelfuse will be adding a new epoxy molding compound (EMC) for our DO-214AB package including SMCJ, 1.5SMC, SMDJ, 3.0SMC/J, 4.0SMDJ, and 5.0SMDJ/S Series (the Affected Series). This urgent addition is necessary due to circumstances beyond Littelfuse, as the current supplier recently obsoleted the EMC used by the Affected Series with a last time buy of Sep 2022. To further strengthen the security and continuity of supply for our customers, Littelfuse will be adding a new assembly and test site location in the Philippines for the Affected Series. Currently, such products have a country of origin China. Due to the EMC and location change, the process and structure for 5.0SMDJ series only has been modified to ensure process manufacturability, quality and reliability. There will be no change to the datasheet specifications for the Affected Series. The electrical performance of the Affected Series remains the same, within existing datasheet specifications. There will be no change to the form, fit, function, or reliability of the products. Packaging dimensions of the Affected Series will remain the same. All affected products have been fully qualified in accordance with established performance and reliability criteria. Please refer to the attached affected parts list and documentation for qualification result and change details. Samples and qualification data are available upon request.
