Their new team-up with NXP Semiconductors N.V., Infineon Technologies AG, and Embedded Artists AB achieves a new standard with a complete Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity environment that helps developers minimize time and efforts required for their most ambitious innovations.

Thanks to this partnership, developers can now get well verified hardware and software for Murata Wi-Fi / Bluetooth module solutions on NXP and Embedded Artists i.MX reference platforms.

Linux and FreeRTOS supported.
 

On Linux:

i.MX 8/7/6 processor families supported

Features

  • World Class Quality Wi-Fi®/Bluetooth® modules
  • Supported on both NXP and Embedded Artists i.MX 8/7/6 Reference Platforms
  • Infineon-based Murata Wi-Fi®/BT modules are fully supported on Linux kernel versions 5.4.47, 4.14.98, 4.9.123, and 4.1.15
  • New NXP-based Murata Wi-Fi®/BT modules are supported on Linux kernel 5.4.47
  • Various support of Wi-Fi® flavors: 802.11b/g/n, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac SISO, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac 2x2 MIMO up to 866 Mbps
  • NXP i.MX Platforms easily configured: execute online automated Murata Github script (builds image), flash SD card (or eMMC) and boot
  • Embedded Artists' i.MX Platforms require no image builds: download Murata-wireless-enabled i.MX images, flash platform and boot
  • Infineon officially validated “fmac” WLAN driver release is on Murata GitHub
  • Murata-specific patch release for NXP wireless support also on Murata GitHub
