The IDC SSL connector series are insulation displacement (IDC) SMT and thru-hole wire-to-wire connectors designed for quick, tool-less termination of discrete wires onto LED printed circuit boards. These connectors use Tyco Electronics proven insulation displacement technology to provide a robust, stable electrical and mechanical power connection to single or multiple printed circuit boards in solid state lighting and non-lighting applications.
The IDC SSL Series are available in 1 through 4 position, surface mount or thru-hole style and closed end or feed thru.
The IDC SSL Series is ROHS compliant, has a 94V rated high temperature resistant thermoplastic and comes with contracts that are tin over nickel plated copper alloy. These connectors accept 18-24 AWG stranded and solid wire. One of the key features is it’s tool-less termination.
Applications for this product include LED lighting controls, general illumination LED fixtures, connecting strings of pcb LED light modules and non-lighting wire-to-board applications.
