NXP IW610 Wi-Fi® 6 + Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 Tri-Radio Solution
Allows for easy integration with other MCUs and MPUs
The IW610 family by NXP is a Wi-Fi® & BLE Tri-Radio solution delivering advanced wireless connectivity with a 1x1 dual-band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz) Wi-Fi® 6 radio subsystem, providing improved network efficiency, reduced latency, and extended range compared to previous Wi-Fi standards. Its Bluetooth® LE 5.4 functionality supports high-speed data rates up to 2 Mbit/s, long-range communication, and extended advertising, making it ideal for network commissioning and sensor aggregation applications.
Designed for seamless integration, the IW610 supports both single- and dual-antenna configurations, ensuring efficient coexistence between Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4 radios. Built-in EdgeLock™ security technology provides robust protection for secure boot, firmware updates, and lifecycle management.
With compatibility across NXP’s i.MX MPUs, i.MX RT, and MCX host platforms, the IW610 Family features a modular host driver architecture that simplifies integration with various MCUs and MPUs. It offers multiple connectivity options, including SDIO and USB for Wi-Fi, UART or USB for Bluetooth, and SPI for 802.15.4.
Wireless modules based on the IW610 are available, providing a convenient and efficient solution for accelerating development and reducing time to market.
