Overview:Silex Technology America (STA) provides our customers with high-quality, long-life products. This email informs you of our decision to revive our SX-SDMAC SKUs that we previously announced End of Life. As a result, it is no longer required to migrate to SX-SDMAC R2 SKUs. We apologize for any inconvenience this announcement might cause.Reason:To improve the manufacturability of the SX-SDMAC product line, Silex implemented an enhanced assembly process to apply underfill in the modules and released the SX-SDMAC R2 SKUs listed below in the table.In parallel, we continued to monitor and test the non-underfilled (Non-R2) SKU’s production. Our extensive testing of thousands of parts and assembly of the original SX-SDMAC SKUs has determined that they are of the same quality, if not better, than the R2 versions with underfill. So we do not need to apply underfill anymore.
Silex Technology America (STA) is dedicated to providing our customers with high-quality, long-life products. Occasionally, we are forced to end of life (EOL) products as our suppliers discontinue a critical component(s) used to produce the devices. Reason: To improve the manufacturability of the SX-SDMAC product line, Silex has implemented an enhanced assembly process for the modules. Silex has decided to EOL the above-mentioned SKU's.
